Health experts say the best advice for cyclists is to wear a helmet, and that the best way to protect against road traffic collisions is to have a bicycle.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a series of recommendations that highlight the need for cyclists to wear helmets while riding and on foot.
In its latest recommendations, the WHO says that, “a helmet is an essential part of a cycling helmet.”
The WHO says cyclists should wear helmets that protect against head injuries.
“The risk of head injuries is increasing and can be a significant threat to people’s lives and health,” the WHO said in a statement.
“It is imperative that we reduce the number of cyclists who are injured or killed by the road by all possible means, including helmet use.”
In the meantime, the government has promised to put a price on carbon emissions, which could help to offset the costs of increasing the number and number of bicycle helmets.
